Lundy Island which is visible from ‘Surf View’ lies off the coast of North Devon, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Bristol Channel with nothing between it and America, a granite outcrop three and a half miles long and half a mile wide. It rises 400 feet above sea level and is a place of outstanding natural beauty, with amazing views of England, Wales and the Atlantic. | |

Located within a 30 min drive of Woolacombe is the very interesting ‘Arlington Court’. A National Trust property, which is an intimate and intriguing Regency house, set in an extensive estate, it also has an impressive collection of horse-drawn vehicles. | |

The fascinating and unique village of ‘Clovelly’ is located approximately an hours drive from Woolacombe. This privately owned village is steeped in history and well worth a visit. No cars are allowed and the villagers still transport their wares by the use of sledges up & down the steep cobbled streets. |
